We are committed to providing our services to you, our users, in a way that is independent, accurate, private and free.
The free part is very important to us, but obviously we need to cover our costs.
They are significant! We have web servers to house and power, bandwidth to pay for and at any one time we have around 10 people working for us.
So (unsurprisingly) to fund this site we use advertising and affiliate links.
We only use banner advertising, so it should be obvious what is being advertised and what is our content.
We mark affiliate links with an asterisk mark (" * ") to make it clear that if you click on that link and decide to purchase the goods or services on offer, we will benefit. If you are in the market for those goods or services, we encourage you to access them via our links, as it will mean that we can continue to enhance the information available to you on entitledto.co.uk
We could earn more money by advertising products and services (like online poker or pay day loans) that we don't believe in, but we don't.
We could earn more money by recommending goods and services to you that might not be relevant to you (like charter tours or cash-for-gold offers) but we don't.
We don't let our affiliate partners alter any of our recommendations or the information that we provide. It is independent and accurate, drawn from our detailed understanding of the way that the social security system in the UK works.
We work hard to make sure that your information is kept absolutely confidential. We don't link answers to specific questions to individual users, and we will never sell your email address to marketing firms or third parties.
In summary, this site is supported by very carefully chosen advertising and affiliate links. If you have ethical, relevant services or products that you think our visitors should know about, please get in touch with Kate our Marketing Manager. You can apply to advertise on our site through Adslot.
The Government is introducing significant changes to the Benefits System
It has never been more important to understand what you can claim
To sign up for entitledto updates, please leave us your name and email address
We understand that your privacy is really important, and that the anonymous, independent nature of entitledto.co.uk's service is vital.
So we promise:
1. To respect your privacy. Your email address will NOT be associated with the information you input into the benefits calculator. The answers you provide will not be retained in our system.
As different parts of the benefits system change, we may want to notify you of specific changes which might affect you personally. For example, if you are entitled to Universal Credit, we might send you updates on that topic. However, we will NOT keep information that associates specific users with particular figures or other information of that sort.
At present we do not do this. If that changes, we’ll let you know.
2. Never to resell your information or use it for marketing purposes. We will ONLY use it to keep you up to date about changes, or proposed changes to the benefits system.
3. You'll always be able to unsubscribe, if you'd like to, for any reason.
