You qualify for the state retirement pension if you are over state pension age. State pension age is currently age 65 for men and is gradually increasing from 60 to 65 for women. For more information see changes to state pension age.
You should enter the full amount you get in the state retirement pension, including any additional pension (state earnings-related pension scheme, second state pension or graduated retirement benefit) paid alongside the basic state pension
If you receive another benefit from the Department for Work and Pensions please make sure that you only enter the amount of state retirement pension you receive in answer to this question. Income you get from other benefits is collected elsewhere in the calculator.
If you are deferring your state pension please see our state pension guide. In general we cannot provide an accurate estimate of your Pension Credit entitlement if you are deferring. Please contact the Pension Service on 0845 60 60 265 for an estimate and the Northern Ireland Pension Centre Claim Line 0808100 2658.
