NHS Low Income Scheme over 60s : Free Benefits Check from Entitledto

What is it?

As well as the free prescriptions and eye tests available to all people aged 60 or over you can get help with certain other health costs through the NHS low income scheme. The scheme's benefits include:

free NHS dental treatment (if you live in Wales dental treatment is free for all over 60s)
vouchers for glasses and contact lenses
help to meet the costs of travel to and from hospital
free NHS wigs and fabric supports

Can I get it?

You can get help though the NHS low income scheme if you are claiming Pension Credit including the Guarantee Credit element. If you are under 60 and your partner qualifies then you can also claim.
